Advanced Course of Study Summer School

Advanced Course of Study is held at the Candler School of Theology. Classes meet Monday-Friday, 8:00-10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m., with daily worship from 10:30-11:10 a.m. in Cannon Chapel.

The Advanced Course of Study is a curriculum which will enable a local pastor to meet the educational requirements for probationary membership, full conference membership, and ordination as an elder in The United Methodist Church. It consists of 32 semester hours of graduate theological study or its equivalent as determined by GBHEM. Students have the option to register for one to four courses during the four week session.
