We will consider what it means to “open our eyes” both creatively and spiritually by exploring the many analogies between what we see with our eyes and what we see with our mind’s eye/spiritual eyes/third eye. We will focus on how we see light by exploring the direction and qualities of light and the ways they affect our photos. We will ponder the direction the light is coming from in our lives, consider the quality of light in our lives, and explore the concept of enlightenment. Students will be encouraged to complete a photographic assignment exploring the direction and qualities of light before an interfaith dialogue that will take place between sessions. This is the first in a three-part series. Please sign up and bring your lunch! There's no deadline for registering and walk-ins are welcome.
