Kingian Nonviolence Training

This interactive and intense training introduces how Nonviolence is a courageous way of life and a powerful strategy for transforming our communities. Special emphasis is given to the six principles and six steps of Nonviolence according to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and their use during various civil rights campaigns.

Dr. Bernard LaFayette Jr., a close friend of Dr. King's, a co-founder of SNCC and a worldwide advocate for Nonviolence, developed this Kingian Nonviolence training program. Throughout this training the Six Principles of Kingian Nonviolence will be focused on, their basis in the Civil Rights movement, and how they can be applied to today's world.

This workshop will run from 4:00PM-8:00PM on Friday, 8:30AM-3:30PM on Saturday.

There is a $25 fee for adults and $15 for youth to cover course booklets.
