Howard Thurman Lecture: "Martin Luther King and a New Political Economy of Justice"

Dr. Obery M. Hendricks, visiting scholar in the Dept. of Religion and the Institute for Research in African-American Studies at Columbia University gives this year's Howard Thurman lecture, entitled "Martin Luther King and a New Political Economy of Justice."

Dr. Obery Hendricks has been called one of the most provocative and innovative commentators on the intersection of religion, politics and social policy in America today. The Washington Post said Dr. Hendricks' most recent book, "The Politics of Jesus: Rediscovering the True Revolutionary Nature of Jesus' Teachings and How They Have Been Corrupted" was "essential reading for Americans."
