We will explore how we create balance in our photographs and our lives. Photographers, as well as other artists, learn several guidelines for composing their images—one of the main ones is balance. We will consider different types of visual balance, ways of creating that balance, and what happens when we create an image that is not balanced. We will then contemplate the concept of balance in our lives and how the photographic ideas we have discussed may be applicable to what is happening in our lives right now. Students will be encouraged to complete a photographic assignment exploring the concept of balance before an interfaith dialogue that will take place between sessions. This is the second in a three-part series. Please sign up and bring your lunch! There's no deadline for registering and walk-ins are welcome.
