Archives and manuscripts can be treasures for scholarly research, yet their potential is often completely overlooked by students in favor of only secondary sources. This session will equip students with an overview necessary to begin venturing into the area of archival research. Join us as we explore what makes archives and manuscripts different, how to locate these materials, and how to incorporate them into research. Also, we will explore several opportunities for original research that are available in the Pitts Library archives and manuscript holdings.
