An Evening with Friends: Reformation Women

Join us for an engaging and informative evening focused on the contributions of women who how owned and operated printing presses in the 16th century.

The Evening with Friends event is offered as an extension of Pitts Theology Library's 26th Annual Reformation Day. The theme this year is Reformation Women and a full day of events will take place on October 24. 

For our evening lecture, on November 7, our speaker Armin Siedlecki, Ph.D., Head of Technical Services at Pitts Theology Library, will give a talk entitled, "The Forgotten Page: Women and the 16th Century Printing Industry." In addition, we will have a variety of materials from the Kessler Reformation Collection on exhibit, including writings by and about women during the Reformation.i

The lecture will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Durham Reading Room. Light refreshments will be served prior to the lecture, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
