Candler School of Theology, Rita Anne Rollins Building, Rooms 401 & 411, 1531 Dickey Drive, Atlanta, GA 30322
Wednesday, February 12, 2014, 12 – 12:45pm

Are you in the middle of exegesis and getting a little overwhelmed with Bible translations, original languages, and concordances? If so, there is powerful software that can help. Accordance (http://www.accordancebible.com; for MacOS) and BibleWorks (http://www.bibleworks.com; developed for the PC, functions on MacOS as well) are software programs developed to help users access and search Biblical texts and other exegetical aids. In the first half of this session (Room 401), we will provide a broad introduction to Biblical software and the similarities between BibleWorks and Accordance. In the second half, we will split into two groups and look more closely at the specifics of these two programs. No prior experience with the software is required. If you have a copy of either tool (both are available on library computers), please bring it with you.
